Case Study Video

City of St. Cloud, MN
Going on location can be the best way to tell a story and explain a topic in a way that peers relate to. This video case study involves a client and three support organizations, yet it's still clear and understandable.

Case studies don't need to be wildly creative or fast-paced to be effective. What's important is for the target audience to see themselves and their own challenges in the scenario shown on screen.

In this case, people at governmental or municipal organizations relate to the problems faced by the City of St. Cloud.  In under three minutes, this target group learns how Marco, Inc. (a Mitel technology reseller) helped the city upgrade its communications technology without needing a competitive bid.

Marco leveraged a pre-negotiated contract available through the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) to help the city move quickly and avoid a lengthy and expensive competitive bidding process.

Relevant content like this will never go viral and appeal to the masses, but it's not designed to. Instead, it's informational and inspirational to people in the target group. By hiring remote crews and leveraging video conference technology, I produced and directed this Minnesota-based storyline without ever leaving my office in California.

My roles in the production:

Concept, produce, direct (including directing remote camera crew, conducting remote interviews, supervising edit)
