Video Growth Hacking & Content Marketing

My creative Video Growth Hacking and content marketing strategies and campaigns have generated rapid growth and hundreds of millions in incremental income for my clients over a 30+ year career.

As an owner of marketing, PR and video automation firms, I've helped emerging and established companies and organizations grow rapidly and increase their valuation using both viral and traditional marketing techniques, often centered on video.

My strategic content has contributed significant marketing and sales breakthroughs for large organizations including Logitech, HP, Avnet, Sprint, Mitel, Make-a-Wish Foundation, HomeAid America, Amway and many small and mid-sized businesses and nonprofits.

I have yet to find an industry sector that doesn't benefit enormously from a creative video content strategy.

Video Production

As a producer and founder of the content production company Edge Films, I can attest to the extraordinary power of video in the marketing process.  I've written, produced and directed hundreds of corporate, commercial, educational and documentary videos and multimedia presentations, many of which have aired on major television networks both in the U.S. and abroad and are featured on websites and video platforms all over the web.

In my work with Vision2Media, Rick Davis and I pioneered video-enhanced strategic navigation for websites. In 2007, we co-founded Voodoo Video Marketing, a software platform to automate and personalize video communications. Until it was acquired in 2026, Voodoo made magic for countless companies through Automated Video Communications and Video Brandcaster software for video personalization and social sharing.

Education & Awards

I hold degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Florence, Italy. My work has been featured in many consumer and trade publications, and has been recognized with numerous Addy and Telly Awards, Summit International Creative Awards, a Golden Eagle, and the nation’s highest PR honor, the Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America.

And then there's Music...

Many know me from my other life as a singer-songwriter, guitarist, recording artist, and music producer. Music was my full-time occupation many moons ago, and these days it's a passion I pursue with renewed creative energy.

As a teenager, I released my first acoustic singer-songwriter LP, Over the Line, now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms.

In the mid-'90s, my wife Bara Waters and I wrote and recorded an indie-rock album called Get This, since re-released in a remastered and expanded edition.

Today, Bara and I make music as Cosmic Spin, our San Francisco Bay Area alternative-folk duo. We love taking great songs, turning them inside out, and putting them back together with soulful harmonies, layered guitars, deep grooves, and a psychedelic twist. We call it Groovy Electric Folk.

Our originals and reimagined covers have amassed over a million Spotify streams. In 2025, our single A Break in the Clouds became our first U.S. Top 40 radio hit. We followed it with Messenger in 2026, giving us two consecutive singles on the U.S. Mediabase Top 40/CHR and Hot AC charts. We've also scored two #1 singles on the UK iTunes Alternative Folk chart.

And because I can't seem to stop sharing what I've learned, I also host the Robert Cassard YouTube channel with more than 50,000 subscribers. Through my Guitar Discoveries, Voice Discoveries, and Recording Discoveries, I explore legendary musicians, fascinating guitars and gear, iconic recordings, and practical techniques for playing, singing, songwriting, and recording.

Whether I'm making music or helping others make theirs, the goal is the same: spread music, spread love.
